We’re bringing back ownership to viewers for the first time, and in a never-before seen way. Digital ownership. You buy your shows once, then you keep them in your library. Even if they get taken off the store. That art you paid for is yours to keep.
Ads have flooded modern-day streaming services. These include AI ads, scams, and big streaming platforms serve to advertisers by creating anti-consumer UX practices. DrawDefy has NO interrupting ads in all parts of our platform, and we only serve to you. At the same time, we also have a highlight section you can see that enables new and emerging creators to promote their current project.
We don’t gatekeep. DrawDefy has a full-fledged mp4, mp3, and digital photo viewer built in for all your content to be stationed in one convenient place. It’s also fully offline supported for all of your downloaded content on your device, and supports both AirPlay and Google Cast. You can get your favorite shows from other platforms of your choice and station them here if you choose.

Creators, or Makers on DrawDefy, have multiple ways of achieving funding during every phase of animation development: Pre-production, production, and post-production. Creative development takes time, effort, and a team. DrawDefy is designed from scratch from the ground up to help you make your project, no matter the stage of production you’re in. Our unique implementation is, and will always be, done with both Makers and fans at the center of our focus.
Have an idea for a show? You can make a show page for it. Then, you can recruit a creative workforce within the DrawDefy Creator Network to create something beautiful.
DrawDefy doesn’t do pledges or traditional crowdfunding within our platform, as this grants an inherit risk to both creators and fans alike. Instead, as a fan, you can purchase concept art, music, or merchandise for a show that’s being concurrently worked on by creators. By doing this, you are directly supporting the creator’s and team’s work, and you get something immediately in return, rather than a promise of something in the future, deterring scammers so we can promote authentic artists with a love for their craft.
For finished shows, movies, or animated shorts, you can keep them on the DrawDefy Store - and fans will buy your creative content with Scribbles, our platform currency. As a Maker, you can exchange the Scribbles you earn for real money, so you can fund your current and future projects. You can also take your shows off our store at any time if you have a brand deal that requires an exclusive contract. Which, by the way, we don’t require exclusivity on DrawDefy.
Creators also have opt-in opportunities to get more traction to their shows. More can be found on the “Submit Show Here” page!

When your uploaded show to the DrawDefy streaming service through Maker Mode gets approved, for every purchase of your show, you will receive Scribbles in your DrawDefy account. You can enroll into the Maker Exchange Program (MEP) to get your Scribbles exchanged for real money to pay your team.
You can enroll to the MEP directly through the app by going to Account > Maker Mode. If you are approved, you can access Maker Mode where you can get analytics on your shows, find people in the DrawDefy Recruitment Page, and upload new episodes.
For a limited time, you can upload shows directly from this page by selecting “Become a Maker” at the top of this page. Once the Android version releases, this option will be removed.

Today, it is free to make a DrawDefy account. There are no subscriptions on DrawDefy, which sets us as a streaming service apart from the crowd of streaming services today.
When it fully releases out of Beta on TestFlight, it will cost $10, one-time to make an account. However, no value to you is lost - we will also include an additional sign-up bonus on launch to include 800 scribbles added to your account. It gives you the best experience with starting out on DrawDefy, instead of immediately asking you for in-app purchases to buy shows out of the box.

There is no official DrawDefy support for computer at this time. DrawDefy is only planned in its current time to release on iOS, Android, and down the line have support for a Roku TV app. This is intentional, due to the issues with security that computers face, relative to the mobile app ecosystem, which offers sandboxed and secure applications. It also is a move to protect our artists from data scraping and one of our many ways of keeping bots away from the platform.

There are three ways to hear from your favorite Makers on DrawDefy.
Through the DrawDefy Forums - You can subscribe to shows in the Project Showcase category and get notifications when there are updates from your favorite makers.
Your Watchlist - In DrawDefy, if there’s a show that interests you, you can watchlist it to wait for sales. This will also offer you the latest from that creator on the DrawDefy home page.
Your Shelf - In DrawDefy, buying a show and having it on your shelf will also give you the latest news and updates on that show on your home page. If you wish, you can disable updates from individual shows by going to their show page from your shelf.
Today, as we are in Beta, the best way to hear from your favorite creators on DrawDefy is through the DrawDefy Forums. Select the Project Showcases Tag, and you can subscribe to the threads that Makers attach to their posts.
